The Mermaid's Legend | |
When Flores Island was starting to be populated,
there was a young blonde and blue eyes boy, who was fishing at the top of a rock.
When he thought he had caught a fish he was surprised to see that some bubbles were coming from the water. The young fisherman was extremely astonished when he saw the naked body, of the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, emerging from the sea. Her hair was so bright and shinning that it looked as if she had red hair. In the presence of such vision and without hesitating the young fisherman threw himself to the water to rescue her. But the red hair young woman, coming from the sea, showed him the scales of her tail, she was a mermaid and she couldn't go to land or else she would die. The love that the young man revealed for her was so intense that the young mermaid, enthused and thrilled, explained the only solution was to take her gills away. The young fisherman's love was so strong that he lost his fear and pulled the gills with all the strength he had. As soon as the young mermaid rose, her tail disappeared and was replaced by two beautiful woman legs. The couple got married soon, and had red hair children and like in all other tales, they lived happily ever after. |
